Day 2:  Dam West Campground in Illinois

Gorgeous day for a gorgeous campground!  Most exciting thing today was the tick that Marla found in her hair (#1). Second thing was being launched in the air as Tom crossed railroad tracks near Blackwater.  I thought he was trying to be Evil Knevial with a motorhome!  Lunch was at a Welcome Center just above the Mississippi.

At Dam West Tom sat in the sun, breeze in his hair, playing the guitar as he enjoyed the lake.

Looking forward to seeing my cousins in Indiana and playing golf.  Another one of my cousins died this week.  So that is one less person we will see in Tennessee.

Hint:  Buy and Interagency Pass or Senior Pass from a National Park and you can camp at Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds and national parks for half price. Our stay yesterday was $9.00.  They are as good as or better than any other state or national campground. With the pass most National Parks are free!!!!
